Does a depository bank usually operate in the short or long run?
A depository bank is a form of financial institution that operates by providing a platform
for the transfer of securities, for custodial services and storage purposes. The institution is
involved with the trading of securities and any financial deposits from its customers. Depository
banks run in the long run because they make operations between the client and other individuals.
Transfer of shares from one investor to another is executed by the bank as well as accepting
fixed deposits which run over a long period, and the bank pays interests where applicable
(Cranston, 2018).
Return on Equity and Return on Assets are effective ways of measuring how productive a
company and how its management is fairing. ROE is the return achieved on net assets. It
estimates how well the company is using its assets to create profits. It is measured by dividing
