Based on your observations from the lab, how do mitotic cell division and meiosis fit into the human life cycle?

The rate of mitosis and meiosis increase from birth as one grows to attain adult life. Beyond adult life, the telomeres are shortened hence the number of cell division reduces resulting the aging factor in human beings.
