Introduction

John Wooden was an amazing coach that steered his team towards winning many
championships. Through his reading, Coach wooden teaches his audience including me on how
you can’t just wish for success. Being successful involves putting in extra effort daily. John
Wooden, a well-spoken and basketball coach, had many victories at the court as well as
grooming his players into men of wisdom. He exhibited an impeccable transformation in
leadership that tries to get the maximum potential from their subordinates. In our article, we are
going to analyze the leadership traits according to the John Wooden pyramid of success. The
article covers on how the pyramid of success by John wooden fits into today's business,
leadership styles, and a step by step analysis on how the project team will use to evade crisis
during the implementation of a project.

The extent to which John Wooden Pyramid of success fits today’s business environment
The pyramid of success as described by John Wooden is a perfect fit in business models
applied in the modern workplace. Quite a large number of CEOs have used the concept of the
pyramid on their way to the top and success. The pyramid of success has helped John Wooden
reach success throughout his illustrious career and become a champion. It's amazing how the
Pyramid of Success by John Wooden has worked so well in a business environment. The
importance of leadership roles in a wide range of teams such as sports, business, family or any
type cannot be underestimated (Edelhauser, 2007). The ability to influence a group of people to
buy into a common goal despite the circumstances is very critical. Wooden understood the
essential need to get people interested in a particular goal or vision.

Wooden took an interest in his team and to each from the last person on the bench to the
star player. Wooden believed that each member of his team had played an important role in
determining whether they succeed or not. Each person in his team was aware that Wooden cared
deeply about each of them just like he cared about his job. However, this trait is difficult to find
in many business leaders of today. In the current business environment, nothing is expected from
a person, and it's all about what one can get from these individuals from the business perspective.
However, your team members and employees are key to building a strong and long-lasting
organization. It has proven to be hard for an organization that is tight-knit to fail.
Success, as defined by Wooden, is having a peace of mind which involves the direct
relationship between the satisfaction of one's self by understanding that they have made an effort
in becoming the best they can and what they are capable of achieving. The philosophy of coach
Wooden was to always focus on the character rather than reputation. What counts most is your
character, and it's what you can control. Wooden spent decades identifying the traits and
characteristics that help in identifying a successful person and these behaviors were reduced to a
list of 25 common behaviors and thus created a triangular diagram iconic in nature known as the
pyramid of success. He brought the team together and inspired them to success by showing them
how to master the fundamental skills and turn them to reality.
