How did you answer the fog part
(f o g)(x) means that whenever you see "x" in f, you replace them by g. For example if f(x) = sqrt(x) and g(x) = sin(x), then (f o g)(x) = sqrt(sin(x)), see that we replaced the bolded x by the italicized expression sin(x)
f(x)=ln(2x^2+1), find the number a (exact) such that f(2)-f(-1)/2-(-1)= ln a
