Respond to the following question and upload it here.
How does the film illustrate the ethical issues of intellectual property in a digital world? (please
write a solid paragraph or more on this).
Response 1
It briefly talks of how a student by the name Joel Tenenbaum violated the copyright laws
by downloading 20 songs and sharing them on the internet. An unfair judgment was passed unto
him whereby he was asked to pay the record company $675,000 which was later reduced to
$67,500. It insists on the change of the copyright laws for the society to get quality movies,
songs and other programs from the internet. The bill has given creators the intellectual mandate
to own whatever they upload on the internet which was part of the amendments on the copyright
laws.
