Each case analysis will contain background information, problem/issue identification, analysis, and recommendations, at a minimum. Students may work together in groups of two. Background Information
The Energy Sector in Siemens Company was founded on first January 2008. It is among
the four sectors in which the Siemens Company is divided. Siemens Energy is in charge of
generating and delivering power from different sources such as extracting, conversion and the
transportation of oil and natural gas. The company has also been involved in the production of
alternative and renewable sources. Siemens Energy has four divisions, and these are Power
Generation, Wind Power, Energy Service, and Power Transmission. Siemens Energy is known
for lots of products and services and some of the provisions of gas and steam turbine generators
for the industries which produce in large-scale, services for the field-based services and factories
for nuclear, steam and wind turbine generators, wind power turbines, gas-insulated switchgear,
equipment for air pollution control and training and consulting services.
Problem Identification
Siemens Energy has been facing several problems which have been affecting their
operations, and if not addressed, these issues can affect the productivity of the business. One of
the energy infrastructures that Siemens Energy uses is outdated considering that it is more than
sixty years old ((Eckert, Lars, and Max 106). It poses a threat to the supply of security in the
power plant thus making the operations of the business unsafe.

The cost of emissions in power supply has been increasing with the current
environmental laws on protecting the surrounding. Power plants are required to use certain
measures which are expensive and failure to that, it would cost the business more. As the
cost of emissions increase, it affects the financial growth of the company in both the
generation and distribution of the products and services.
