The equation to factor special binomials for this problem is  a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)

So for your question 3x^2 - 0.75y^2 the answer would be (√3x + √0.75y) (√3x - √0.75y)

If you use FOIL to redo the distribution, you will see that you get back to the original equation, which proves that the answer is correct.

Note: √  this is the symbol for square root.
