I am in 9th grade and i am really struggling in biology. we have an upcoming test and i want to be ready for it but i literally know nothing. i need to know everything about ATP, cellular respiration, macromolecules, things like that. For a review, the teacher makes us read definitions of the vocabulary words and it doesnt help because she wont tell us what they mean. everyone else seems to get it except for me. please help.
Cellular respiration is the process of
oxidizing food molecules, like glucose, to carbon dioxide and water. The
energy released is trapped in the form of ATP for use by all the
energy-consuming activities of the cell. The process occurs in two phases: glycolysis, the breakdown of glucose to pyruvic acid.
A macromolecule is a very large molecule
commonly created by polymerization of smaller subunits (monomers). They
are typically composed of thousands or more atoms.
Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
