Set notation and roster notation in math sets

Mathematics
Tutor: None Selected Time limit: 1 Day

Use proper set notation to rewrite each set with roster notation (ex. {1,2,3,4}. Problem: The set of integers which when squared equal 7. I'm not sure how to write this because the square root of 7 is a decimal.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question! Hope your day is going great!

Integers is a set of whole numbers from negative to positive.

As you have noticed, you reach a decimal answer. This means there is not an x that satisfies this equation.

So, in math, we call this the empty set. It looks like a 0 with a diagnal line going through it.

Like this

No braces are necessary (thus you just write the empty set, and no {})
