Introduction
At Grand Canyon University, the program for RN to BSN often meets the expectations of
clinical competencies as outlined by the AACN, American Association of Colleges of Nursing,
and CCNE, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, using the experiences that are nontraditional for the nurses who practice. Such experiences often portray themselves either directly
or indirectly in the care experiences, whereby, nursing students with licenses often engage in
learning within the confines of their local communities, specific care discipline, and hospital
organization. Any nursing professional who has been through this prestigious institution portrays
some acknowledged standard of professionalism, which is the desire for any patient.
Summary of Teaching Plan at Grand Canyon University
The Grand Canyon University RN to BSN department runs a teaching program, which is
community-based and offers the necessary clinical skills to the medical students. This program
has a 5-week medicine firm, which is taught wholly in overall practice. For the students, they
often spend most of their time in the general practice, where their tutors teach them the basic
clinical skills of taking history and some elements of the physical examination. Therefore,
students often meet many patients who have common medical disorders. The GPs within such
teaching practices often identify these patients with common diseases. The patients are then
contacted by a representative of the potential medical students' team or their GP (Giddens, &
Caputi, 2019). Whoever is selected has the responsibility of advising the patients on the content
of the teaching that awaits them. Either one or two medical students can ask the patients
questions and examine them in practice or their homes. The medical students advise the patients
