Senior executives should link innovation to the strategic goals of the organisation. When that is done more resources and effort is then geared towards innovation.
Senior executives should also be the motivators for innovation. They should do so by providing deeper insight on to how innovation efforts are vital and good for an organisation.
Senior executives should also initiate innovation programs and provide leadership in the programs. They should take up a hands on approach when it comes to innovation matters such as system re-engeneering or process improvement or any other innovation related programs.
