Hormones control a great many of the reactions involved in homeostasis. Every hormone has an organ or organ part that produces it and a target or targets. Let's take some specific hormones and look at them in more detail. For your hormone, tell us

where it is produced

what stimulates its production and release

what its effects are

what happens if you have too much of it

what happens if you have too little of it

*Please provide references from the internet. Thank you

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Insulin is produced in the pancreas. Release of insulin is stimulated by is hypoglycaemia  and also hyperglycaemia. Amino acids can also  stimulate the release of insulin in the body.Too much of insulin in the body will causes the abnormally low blood glucose levels and this is dangerous to diabetic patients. It make the person feel ill. This is because the brain is mostly the affected part.On the other hand, too little amount of insulin causes high blood glucose levels and this leads to dehydration. This can make the body tired and can cause weight loss.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas and it is used to regulate the amount of sugar in the body. It allows your body to use the glucose produced from the carbohydrates  in the food eaten for energy.

Production of insulin in the body is stimulated by both hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia . This are the main mechanism for release of insulin. In addition some insulin release takes place generally with food intake, not just glucose or carbohydrate intake, and the beta cells are also somewhat influenced by the autonomic nervous system. The signaling mechanisms controlling these linkages are not fully understood. Other substance may include amino acids from ingested protein, acetycholine  and also gastrointestinals .

Too much of insulin in the body may be risky to the body especially a diabetic person. When a person is accidentally injected too much insulin , cells will take in too much glucose from the blood. This will eventually lead to abnormal low blood glucose levels (hypoglycaemia). The body will react by releasing stored glucose from the liver so as too put the level back to normal . However , persistence of this will cause the person to feel ill.

On the other hand, too little of insulin can also be produced due to the destruction of beta cells .Too little insulin cause high blood glucose levels . This will cause frequent urine and thirst and this will eventually lead to dehydration with can cause confusion to the person. It also makes the person tired and can cause weight loss.

If I'm not mistaken, I did not see what its effects are
