The focus of this paper is on three learning outcomes PLO 4, PLO 5 and PLO 6.
Conversely, the point of discussion includes how individuals can lead ethical decision-making
processes that address situational complexity and multiple perspectives; communicating
ethically, effectively and strategically and lessons on how one can continuously improve their
social effectiveness through critical reflective practices that strengthen personal development.
P Learning Outcome 4: Lead Ethical Decision-making Processes in Multicomplex
Ethics concern so much about the choices that people make and what matters when
persons are faced with dilemmas. In regards to decision making, the ethics that a person shows
include theirpersonal standards of right and wrong. In this case, ethics becomes the rationale for
making ethically sensitive decisions. The ethical decision making refers to the cognitive process
which incorporates the different moral principles, rules, and the virtues as well as the
maintenance of the relationships which help in judging the individual or group decisions or even
the intended actions. While handling the course curriculum on Deliberation & Complex
Decision-Making (SYS 6200-CFL), the issue of ethical decision making was covered. The
course content acknowledges that every organization has its unique challenges and requirements
owing to the complicated nature of the decision making process. The course content on SYS
6200-CFL provides information on analysis of the organizational situations. The course
mandates critical evaluation of the systematic contexts and the opportunities that exist. Through
the decision-making skills gained one can come up with learning outcomes that demand
specificity and the critical analysis of the universal theories and concepts. While undertaking the
course, there is an element of explaining complex and competing perspectives that is taught
among different individuals and groups. The course requires that one be competent enough to
analyze the situations and issues methodically as a way of selecting the right decision-making
approaches. A vital learning aspect was on the systematic methods through which I could frame
issues and discuss certain decisions. The learning was readily applicable in universal concepts.
Universal concepts and theories refer to the general applications and blanket definitions that
traverse diverse industries and contexts. Therefore, the first segment of this learning outcome
calls upon researchers and writers to apply these theories and universal context in a manner that
befits the situation or circumstance of the subject organization. To achieve this, the individuals
charged with research or tasks relating to any organization must first appreciate the
circumstances surrounding the organization concerning the research question or problem at hand.
While handling the Research Methods (5100) learnt of the different ethical decisionmaking processes that address situational complexity and multiple perspectives. Through the
learning of the course content, was able to get a chance to critically assess the systemic contexts
