Assignment 3: Technology and Organizational Behavior Issues (200 points)

You are to write a six to eight (6–8) page paper that answers the following: During the 1970s, the U.S. Air Force Program for Integrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing (ICAM) sought to increase manufacturing productivity through systematic application of computer technology. As companies, systems products and markets become even more complex we will need even more complex modeling to guide and help us make decisions.

  • Describe the culture of your organizational behavior issues and what challenges are present.
  • Discuss the systems that are the most appropriate to introduce into your organization.
  • Analyze a few of the systems that can have the greatest impact on your organization.

The format of the report is to be as follows:

  • This course requires use of new Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The format is different than other Strayer University courses. Please take a moment to review the SWS documentation for details.
  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow SWS or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Introduction
With the time stretch of time, industries and organization have advanced in technology
especially in manufacturing to enhance their productivity in a simpler, faster and efficiently than
without the use of technological mechanization. With the rise of technological production,
organizational behavior has transformed to cover up the gaps created by the advancement of
technology. Such change of behavior includes the recruitment of technology savvy individuals to
operate this techno machinery and computers. This paper analyzes the anatomy of technology
and organizational behavioral change with respect to technology.
Body
Analysis
Due to the complexity of the markets, products, and systems, there has been the need to
diversify the complexity of the procedures and production to cover for the advanced market
needs. To understand the aspects of technology in organizational behavior issues, first
understanding the organizational culture is quite imperative.
The organization I represent adheres to the clan culture. Clan culture takes the form of a
family – like formation whereby, the commonality and consensus of values and goals are much
adapted. In this kind of culture, there is immense collaboration among the operatives of the
organization. Actually, the clan culture has the least competition among its operatives as
compared to the other commercial culture models (Belias & Koustelios 2014).

On the technological aspect of the clan culture, the management of the company has
instigated programs where employees are enrolled to further their education on their job roles as
well as advancing the technological interface where employees get the enabling advantage to
