Make teams of equal number of nine year olds and ten year olds.  There are 56 9-year olds and 42 Ten year olds.  How many teams can be made?

There are 56      9years old

and 42               10 years old

lets calculate GCF of  56   and   42

56 =2*2*2*7

42=2*3*7

GCF =2*7 =14

so team containing 14 equal numbers of nine years and ten years old can be made.

Number of nine years teams =56/14 = 4

Number of ten years teams =42/14   =3
