It is worth noting that even though women and men have equal rights in policies, gender
inequality continues to be seen everywhere in the country as well as across the world. Gender
inequality is more based on the suppression of female human nature as well as discrimination for
women. It is a problem in society that highly harms women. It also to a great extent violates the
norm that every individual is equal in society. As far as the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights is concerned, every person s entitled to human rights and this is regardless of their sex.
Therefore, gender inequality is not only an individual problem but also a social problem that
requires our attention. By focusing on the discussion of the dilemmas rooted in gender relations
in the world today as well as explanation of the various experiences of transgender, different
authors oppose the idea that unequal treatment just emerges from differences between the sexes
as well as unconscious biases instead of gender discrimination, and indicate that additional
changes ought to be embraced to move people closer to full gender equality.
