Marital satisfaction is an integral aspect in evaluating the stability and happiness in a
marriage. Generally speaking, marital satisfaction is a cognitive state that gives a perceived
reflection on the cost and benefit of marriage to an individual. As a result, the fewer costs that a
marriage partner inflicts, the more satisfied the other partner is. This implies that the greater the
perceived marriage benefits, the more satisfaction are experienced by couples. Notably, there
prevails an array of factors that influence the level of marital satisfaction. Such factors include
sexual relations, emotional intelligence, communication and intimacy, attachment style,
relationship, couples’ families, forgiveness and sacrifice, personal health, personality attributes,
demographic specification, and religion. This essay will, therefore, investigate the factors that are
associated with high marital satisfaction.
Healthy communication, relationship, and intimacy influences the high level of marital
satisfaction. In this context, effective and open communication is a significant component that
