The automotive industry for Toyota Led Japanese vehicle created the unique
manufacturing and production systems. This led the industry to come out from the ruins of the
Second World War and became the biggest exporter of the automobile worldwide. The system
was therefore called Toyota Production System and is now known as the lean manufacturing.
The concern for the particular programmer had been anticipated to get stronger competitive
advantages to the Japanese industry for the automotive over the one manufactured by the
Americans and Europeans. The lean manufacturing has been a comprehensive system of
management in the production industry that was originally developed in Toyota which later
refined gradually, and also improved most scholar and the practitioners all over the world.
The features that distinguish lean manufacturing from the other production industries are
the improvement of efficiency by reducing the error and wastes; the reduction on the cost for the
achieved inventories through manufacturing in some small batches. The key to the particular
success with the Toyota system is the workforce skill by the Japanese companies. The concept
for overriding for the lean system of production is for producing more with very minimum
resources which is a philosophy used for removing and identifying the waste that may occur
across Toyota business activities. This is also for the addition of value to the customers and
about business and customer’s driven.
The centers for lean manufacturing improved the management to people for example, to
the operators who are found on the shopping floor. The active participation of the workforce
makes them work very hard. The lean manufacturing has put the focus on the value addition
coming from the demand. The system of production basically, is pulled from demand and not
about the entire forecasting dependent which is based on the production schedule. The
