How Do you get the inverse of y= 2/x +3?

Sep 11th, 2015

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question! Hope your day is going well!

The best method of find an inverse, is to switch the x and the y and solve for y

Switch the x and the y

x=2/y+3 (add three to both sides)

x-3=2/y  (multiply by y to both sides)

y(x-3)=2   (divide by x-3)

Thus the inverse of y=2/x+3 is

answer! y=2/(x-3)

** Let me know if the problem is really y=2x+3*

if it is...same process

y=(x-3)/2 <=====JUST AN EXAMPLE: NOT ANSWER!
