THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD.
Part 1
1. How can the scientific method be used to solve or investigate a problem?
The scientific method can be used to solve or investigate a problem by leading one into
asking questions that will guide the person in their research. The scientific method gives one
room for not being restricted by theories and therefore possibilities are many.
2. List and describe each step of the scientific method.
Step 1: Observe and ask questions.
This step helps one to formulate questions that will guide them in research.
Step 2: Research.
This is where one finds out if others have asked similar questions before and if not, they
try to look for information on subjects close to their hypotheses.
Step 3: Formulate a hypothesis.
This is where one comes up with a theoretical speculation on the subject under research
and tries to prove if their prediction is right.
Step 4: Test the hypothesis.
This is the step where the researcher designs a test with a constant to ensure that their
findings are fair and as accurate as possible.
Step 5: Analyze & Conclude.
This stage is where the results gotten from the test is taken through analysis to confirm if
the hypotheses w...
