The law of effect was developed by Edward , Thorndike he suggested that, responses that are immediately followed by a satisfactory outcome become more strongly associated with the situation and are therefore more likely to occur again in the future when they are repeated and happens conversely if the responses are followed by negative outcome. The law of effect play the following roles in Behavioral psychology:

d. it tries to show how some bad or good behavior can be avoided basing on the earlier experience , for instance an individual can start using drugs and due to its satisfying nature, the individual will go the drug next time. It creates a response of behavior.
e. Most importantly , law of effect helps predict the type of behavior an individual may adopt due to past pleasing experience.
Law of effect is related to ope rant conditioning, though it has been developed by Psychologists like Skinner to make it adaptable to the modern time. It also tries to show the associated and connection between the behavior and positive outcome which forms the basis for later behavior.
