Introduction
Geo is a Greek word meaning earth while thermo, means heat. Therefore, geothermal
energy refers to the heat coming from the earth. The earth heat in Nevada forms the outlet of
earth’s heat. Geothermal energy is renewable energy because it is continuously produced inside
the earth and escapes through various hot springs in the world. One of the biggest outlets of the
earth’s heat is the Nevada hot springs. People harness geothermal heat to cook, heat buildings,
generate electricity, bathing among uses.
