lets express x in terms of y

x=9/3-2/3y

y=3-2/3y

plug it in to second eq:

2(3-2/3y) -3y=-7

Solving...

6-4/3y-3y=-7

Move the ys to the other side

6+7=4/3y +3y

13=4 1/3y

13=13/3y

y=(13/ (13/3))

y=(13 x 3)/13

y=3


plug it in first eq:

x=3-2/3y

x= 3-( 2/3 x(3))

x=1
