The Author suggests that variation of the employee’s characteristics influence their
feelings towards their working environment. The article identifies employment characteristics
which affect the employee’s satisfaction and their work environment which relates to employee
retention. Working environment determines job satisfaction and the preservation of employees
depending on their characteristics. These factors include; communication, location,
accomplishment, and the department, therefore, hotels industry should recommend to the
hoteliers to provide improved customized agenda which focus on the individual groups
according to specific group employment characteristics.
