If a plane can travel 470 mph with the wind and 430 mph against the wind , find the speed of the plane without a wind and speed of the wind.

Let speed of plane be x.
Let speed of wind be y.

x + y = 470 --- (1)
x - y = 430 --- (2)

From (2), we have:
y = x - 430 --- (3)

Substituting (3) into (1), we will get:
x + x - 430= 470
2x = 900
x = 450

Substituting x = 450 into (3), we will get:
y = 450 - 430
y = 20

Hence, speed of plane is 450 mph, while speed of wind is 20 mph.
