Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

If we want to know how to work out how many kilometers per second we are travelling, first we must convert the miles to kilometers. To do this, we multiply the speed in miles(65), by 1.609344.

so 65 X 1.609344 = 104.60736.

now we have kilometers per hour, but we need kilometers per second. So, if we divide 104.60736 by 60, we will get the kilometers per minute(because there is 60 minutes in an hour). Then we must divide this answer again by 60(because there is 60 seconds in a minute) to get the kilometers per second.

So: 104.60736 / 60 = 1.743456

1.743456 / 60 = 0.0290576

So the car is traveling at 0.0290576 kps(kilometers per second)
