Introduction
With the modern world’s growing technology in the modern environment, it is no doubt
that crime associated with the use and applications of computers has emerged and found its way
as one of the top most dangerous crimes. The computer crimes, also a cybercrime, electronic
crime, hi-tech crime or cybercrime, is usually defined as an act that is carried out by a computer
user with the knowledge of the computer and technology, mostly called the hacker, illegally
accesses or broses other persons private information. Mostly, the person may be aiming at
imposing malicious aspects to destroy or corrupt the computer files present in the victims'
system. The main types of computer crimes can be obtained from the categories and
classification of computer crimes that exist. Three major types include; First, Malware computer
attacks that occur in forms of logic bombs, Trojan horses. The second category comprises of
hacking and phreaking categorized as the telecommunication computer crimes. The third one
comprises of frauds and embezzlement of finance that is facilitated by the application and use of
computer systems and this is categorized under crimes that are computer manipulated. With the
crimes in computer crimes increasing, it is important to note that there have been developed
innovative ways under the law whose main aim is to combat the activities of computer crimes.

malicious attacks to the computer systems and this can be carried by internal agents and
