(William, p.57). This letter was written to the emperor by the name Carlos to inform him about
the colonial territories in the United States and activities that took place in them with aid to
conquer them during the year 1522. According to him in the letter, he was willing to make the
native people understand their presence but the language was a barrier in this process. Hernán
Cortés was from Spain and he is remembered for winning Mexico to his country Spain. This
