Week 1 DQ 2 - Response to fellow classsmate Martha Grice
Please provide a 150-200 word response to the below question and please use at least 1 reference. Also please cite reference in APA 6th edition format and please provide doi or www info for reference if applicable. As the number of participants in the labor force is expected to decline from 63.7% in 2012 to 61.6 % in 2022 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2013), it has become more important than ever to retain talented labor (Yogamalar & Samuel, 2016). There are currently four generations in the workforce with differing values views and attitudes (Stark & Farner, 2015; Yogamalar & Samuel, 2016). Understanding generational cohort differences and expectations also known as psychological contracts, may help reduce job dissatisfaction and turn-over rates (Stark & Farner, 2015). Addressing this concern from a scientist-practitioner model, conducting research in the workplace may help identify specific factors that can be used to inform leadership. A survey using a questionnaire, administered to various cohort groups within an organization, could provide a perspective of intrinsic motivators, attitudes related to cohorts, and organizational culture (Levy, 2013). Descriptive statistics highlighting correlations may help identify areas where management can intervene to lessen the impact of generational differences. Once generational motivators and sources of conflict are identified, promoting positive organizational behavior in ways that is impactful to each generational group will promote organizational goals (Yogamalar & Samuel, 2016).

Perceived Leader Integrity, social science assignment help
As a leader, your ethics could be a central part of your leadership decisions, and as a result, could be a big part of how others judge your leadership skills. It might be helpful to assess where your ethics lie in regard to integrity in real-world settings. Having this measurable opportunity could help in determining where ethics lies in your leadership philosophy. To prepare for this Assignment, go to the "Perceived Leader Integrity Scale (PLIS)" in the course text, Leadership: Theory and Practice. The text explains that you should take the test concerning your perceptions of someone you know. Instead, take the test concerning your own beliefs about your own ethics. Please be as honest and objective as you can. Include the results in the Final Research Paper. (Note: Throughout this course, you have written short papers on the results of your questionnaires and surveys. This week, you do not need to write a short paper specifically on the PLIS results. Instead, include your analysis of your responses to the PLIS questionnaire in your Final Research Paper.)ReadingsNorthouse, P. G. (2016). Leadership: Theory and practice (7th ed.). English12A: Descriptive Essay, English homework help
Throughout this unit, you have been reading excerpts from the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf and have become familiar with its mood and language. At this time, you should have chosen one particular scene from the epic poem to describe in detail in a 2-3 page writing assessment. In your lessons, you have learned strategies to create an overall impression and organize a description. For this assessment, you will draft a description that contains vivid details and grabs readers’ attention. Now, imagine you are one of the characters in Beowulf. Either take the perspective of antagonist or protagonist, and describe the scene using sensory details to “paint a portrait” with your words for the reader. Try metaphors and similes (what was it “like”?). Your purpose is to make the reader feel as if they are there! This is not an analysis or summary, it is more in the genre of story telling.Write a description based on a scene from Beowulf. Choose one: The battle with Grendel, the battle with the Dragon, or the battle with Grendel’s mother. Before you start, note that descriptive writing is characterized by the following elements:It follows an appropriate organizational pattern. It contains sensory words and vivid details. It communicates a clear overall impression. It contains transitions that link sentences together effectively. It grabs the readers’ attention with a strong beginning and a strong conclusion.ObjectivesDraft a descriptive essay incorporating sensory detailsIdentify prepositions and their function in a sentence
