Question Description

Assignment: Part 2: (Create a logic model based on your program proposal): A logic model for the program that includes resources or inputs, activities, outputs, and short term and long term outcomes. In the narrative for Part 2, the student should also include the research background that supports the program as evidence-based practice, an analysis of how this program serves vulnerable or at risk groups, stakeholder analysis, and goals and objectives for program.

I am uploading my Part 1 (Operation Elevate) that I have completed already. I have objectives that can be used in Part 2 but the goals would need to be created and if anymore objectives need to be added please do. I am also uploading 2 examples on what the logic model should look like and information on how it is suppose to be completed. Please read the instructions to Part 2 assignment and make sure all information is put into it including the logic model of the program and the research background that supports the program as evidence-based practice, an analysis of how this program serves vulnerable or at risk groups, stakeholder analysis, and goals and objectives for program.

Here are some of my objectives from my Part 1:

Strategic Objective:

This event aims to showcase the beneficial practices or prevent the homelessness of the veterans. The stakeholders plan to participate in the events that will support this cause by contributing, collecting, and distributing furniture and other essentials that are most needed by the Veterans who are moving into their new house and make it a home.

Moreover, this also intends to educate the community of the organization’s aspirations behind the services rendered in helping the homeless Veterans promoting the societal interest and the awareness on the Housing Urban Development and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program ethics which is based in the constitution of the country.

The organization can only render the services by means of the supports from different charitable institutions, private donors in both international or local. We are responsible for 25 beneficiaries whom we currently help to provide home and other necessities that they need to live a better and meaningful life in their dawning remaining years.

Part 1: Fundraising Drive Event Project Name: "Operation Elevate" Drive for Homeless Veterans Date of Event: June 22nd, 2019 Time: 8am-1pm Proposed Venue: Jackson Housing Authority Program Proposal Purpose Statement: The purpose of this event is to bring forth awareness and provide assistance through the fundraising drive "Operation Elevate" for Homeless Veterans. The Homeless Urban Development and VA Supportive Housing seeks help for the veteran’s necessities in hosting the event which is contributory to the sustainability of the organization that will greatly assist in a continuous rendering of the needed development services of the beneficiaries. Problem Statement Members of the service that were detailed to war zones fighting for the country should have holistic life after the serving. Unfortunately, after defending the country and returning to the civilian life living a normal life became a struggle for some of them especially in securing good, stable, and quality housing. Based on a 2010 report of Green Doors, on any given night, there are approximately 643,067 people experiencing homelessness in America. Moreover, 12% of those people consist of veterans. This is due to social isolation, poverty, lack of housing programs as well as little support from the community and government. Proposed Program The program proposed designed to overcome the homelessness of the veterans and assist them to start again and begin a new life as stabled civilian. This also aims to provide opportunities for the veterans to obtain other necessities that are needed in transferring to their new house and be able to maintain self-sufficiency. It also intends to provide a safe place and address their other needs like financial assistance, education, and health programs. It will offer activities that will meet their needs such as; fitness programs, cultural programs, workshops, or outings that will provide them a decent and healthy living with less worry. Discussion To achieve the objectives, we plan this fundraising event that will not only bring forth awareness but collaboration of many different organizations with similar purpose. Our organization believes that through our most benevolent stakeholders together with the community this event will greatly benefit the homeless veterans and everything will be appreciated in taking the responsibility to uplift their lives and in supporting the goals that we are advocating for. Entertainment Local artists and performers will be invited to showcase their talents while raising awareness and potential donations for the cause. The Event ● The event will provide awareness, education, funds as well as exposure to the organization’s services to the community and advantages that they can derive from it. ● The event also aims to market the organization by means of its capability to build and provide a better living program for homeless veterans through case management. ● Food, supplies (hotdogs, chips, water, etc.) and other refreshments will be provided through a local church. The church is also going to provide volunteers (ages 10-up). Activities For the event to be successful we need the stakeholder’s support in: ● Renting and promoting their business’ products and services ● Support and patronize the items offered and sold during the event ● Community’s participation to support the event with a specified price Lists of things that need sponsorship ● Venue ● Committee Services (Community’s Health services, Paramedics, Local Police, Waste Management) ● Marketing ● Communication ● Administration Cost for the invitations, and printing ● Clean-Up Crew ● Publicity The organization will involve local newspaper ad, news station interview, social media, and radio stations publicity. Stakeholders ● Business Retailers ● Banks ● Transport Agencies ● Factories ● Other Institutions Opportunities Exposure to the organization’s services, other organization’s services, and local artists Awareness of the needs of homeless veterans Conclusion To make this fundraising possible any assistance extended will be greatly appreciated. The program will be an opportunity to introduce the community’s culture and experience a sense of sharing. The Homeless Urban Development and VA Supportive Housing program continues to work for its goal to provide holistic as well as sustainable services for the homeless veterans, and our programs enabled us to provide quality shelter and living for them.
