Babylon was originally ruled by King Hammurabi. There was several levels in the social structure starting from the King at the top to the slaves at the bottom.After the king existed the nobles , free citizens and those in military and civil service.The bottom had the slaves. The society also had it classes which were; awilu a free person of upper class, wardu was a slave and the mushkene was a free person of the lower class
