You can see from the equation below that F-value must be positive, due to both numbers being squared.

f=s_{1}^{2}/σ_{1}^{2}

F-statistic is a way to determine if your test is significant.

I'm 100% positive that F-values cannot be negative. I don't think there's much of a limit for how positive the value can be, but I'll look into it for you :)
