this is a question about rate of change, it should be so easy, but i keep getting it wrong

The data can be represented as a linear function, in fact the linear function is

j(x)=3x+15  (i)

You can be test this as shown below

j(1)=3+15=18

j(-1)=-3+15=12

and so on

Rate of change=(21-9)/(2--2)=12/3=3,

Remember equation of a straight line is

y=mx+c     (ii)

where m is the slope or rate of change

Compare (i) and (ii)

m=3, c=15(is the y intercept)
