The measure of an angle is twice the measure of its supplement. How many angles are there? What is their relationship? How can you use algebra, such as the variable x, to help you?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

if a certain angle is 60, then its supplementary is 120. supplementary angles should total to 180.

equation; 2x+x=180

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

So then the next question is: The measure of an angle is 20 less than its complement. We are supposed to find how many angle there are, what their relationship is, and how you can use algebra, such as the variable x, to help you. so for this one would it be x + 2x=90 ?

no....although they add up to 90, the expresion should

if one is x, then the other will be x+20

x+20+x+90=  ....2x+20=90=....2x=70....x=35
