To illustrate, let’s divide 3/5 by
Turn the second fraction, 2/9, upside down. This
upside down version is called the reciprocal
2/9 => 9/2
Multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of
the second fraction
3 x 9 = 3 x 9 = 27
5 2 5 x 2
Simplify the resulting fraction if there is a
27 = 20 + 7
= 2 7
