A bottle of champagne is accidentally dropped from a hot air balloon. the balloon is rising at constant velocity of 3 m/s, and the bottle was intitally at rest with respect to the ballon. the bottle takes 8.0 seconds to hit the ground. how high was the ballon when the bottle was dropped, and what is the bottle's velocity just before hitting the ground?

h= 1/2 *9.81 m/s^2* 8^2

h= 313.92 m

velocity before hitting the ground

v^2 = 2as

v^2 = 2*9.81* 313.92 = 

v^2 =6159.11

v = square root 6159.11

v= 78.48 m/s
