The ground tempeture at sea level is 60 degrees farenhite. For every 100-foot increase in elevation, the tempeture rises 1 tenth of one degree.At an altitude of 2,000 feet, what will be the likely tempeture?

at sea level is 60 degrees farenhite


altitude of 2,000 feet,

rise in temperature = (2000/100) * tenth of one degree

                              =20 * one tenth of one degree

                              = 20 * 1/10

                              = 2 degree


so at altitude of 2,000 feet,

temperature = 60 + rise in temperature

                     = 62 degree



ANSWER IS

62 degree
