Nursing Informatics Proposal
Different organizations have so far embraced the role of technology in their business
activities, in which case it is part of the daily interactions with the consumers and management of
information related to their health. In particular, the use of health information technology in
hospital has led to a significant increase in the quality of services offered to the customers.
Consequently, a further improvement in the existing information systems would most likely
result to higher improvement in the quality of services offered to the patients (Kleib, Simpson, &
Rhodes, 2016). In particular, an invested in a central database system, which would manage
information on patient health, and available to different health professionals as is necessary to
help the patients would help reduce the time taken by nurses and physicians in helping each other
understand the situation with different patients across working shifts. As opposed to a verbal
presentation of patient condition, then the different professionals would only need to log into the
website and access the necessary customer information.
