A cone-shaped lime storage container has a twelve-foot diameter at its top with a length of 20 feet. What is the approximate volume in cubic feet? In gallons?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

diameter = 12 ft hence radius = 6 ft

height of the cone can be calculated using Pythagoras theorm  = h^2 =  20^2 -6^2 =364

hence h = 19.078 ft

volume of cone = 1/3 pi* r^2 H

hence Volume = (1/3)  *(22/7)  * (6^2) * (19.078)=5.142 ft^3

1 cu feet = 7.4805 gallon

hence 5.142 ft ^3 = 38.465 gallon Answer)
