When we represent a sequence by describing the relationship between its successive terms, we are representing the sequence recursively

When we represent a sequence with a formula that lets us find any term in the sequence without knowing any other terms, we are representing the sequence explicitly. 

Explicit rule

45, 50, 55, 60, 65 ..................Solution:   an =a1+d(n-1)   where  a1 is the firdt number and d id the common difference in this case a1=45 and d=5
