1.Start with the equation in the form of ax^2+bx+c=0

2.factoring the left hand side of given equation

3.Set each factor equal to zero

4.Solve to determined the roots

7r^2-14r=-7

7r^2-14r+7=0

7(r^2-2r+1)=0

r^2-2r+1=0

(r-1)^2=0

(r-1)(r-1)=0

so,r-1=0

r=1
