How many hours?

Sep 17th, 2015

b)Number of hours

V=x/t

v is the velocity =6* 10^4 mph

x is the scientific notification which is 4.8* 10^  miles .

t is the number of hours to be calculated.

Therefore: v=x/t (formulae)

multiply "t" with both sides then divide "v" with both sides.

hence : t=x/v

Replace with the above numbers

that is ;t =  4.8 * 10^5/ 6 *10^4

simplify the fractions

the answer remains to be

time = 8 hours
