1. Apple tightly controls which apps it allows in the App Store, while Google’s Android Market has a more “open door” policy. Go online and search for different categories of apps (hint: try looking for potentially illegal or offensive apps). What differences did you find?
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
I found that the Android market had many more offensive apps than the apple app store. I am not sure I found any apps that I know are illegal, but it is clear to see that the Android market's open door policy allows many more unsavory or offensive apps to be allowed in. I did however find that google play (the new name for the Android app store) has a very usable parental block system that allows parents to block the downloading of any content they see as inappropriate for their children.
Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
