How do officers decrease the liability of being held in liability cases? Can this be accomplished by training? If not what are your recommendations?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Officers decrease their liability of being held in liability cases through exercising skill and due diligence. Organisations  give directions to their members on the best practices as an officer and how they should respond to issues in their work environment. Officers learn to follow the set protocols, use their skills in the right way that is acceptable and fair in their own eyes and finally exercise care to avoid any mishaps.

Additionally, officers act honestly to avoid conflicts between their own interests and those of the parties that they are dealing with. This ensures that they are not likely to serve their own interests at the expense of the other party. This way, they avoid misconduct and evade liability cases.

All this can therefore be accomplished through training. Reinforcing the importance of the fair practices and professional skill that they are required to exercise ensures that these guidelines are always in their minds. More so, instilling the need for honesty through training on ethics will ensure that they do not serve their interests at the expense of others.
