 This rules ststes that you  multiply a single term and two or more terms inside a set of parentheses. You start by working on binomial figure then you multiply with the figure outside the parentheses.

 d *(q-6)


We can now apply the distributive property to the expression by multiplying each term inside the parentheses by 

d *q -d*6

Now simplifying the multiplication, we get a final answer of

=dq-6d
