Describe "in-groups" and "out-groups" and give of an example of each?

The term in group and out group was founded by Henri Tafel during his formation of the Social Identity Theory. The "In-Group" is a group that an individual is a social member of.  The "Out-Group" means that an individual is not part of the group. Groups can be formed based on having the same ethics, morals, religions, and races along with other identities individuals have in common.
