Violence in the media should be regulated. Although people have accepted it as  a modern way of entertaining children, it has more effects than it is of benefit. Research has proved that behavior in children is shaped by what they see. The more children are exposed to violent shows, the more the character of violence develops within them. Whenever an incidence occurs, instead of acting by reasoning and doing what is right, the character of violence developed in them reacts leading to a violent action.


Though it may not directly have an impact on the rate of crime today, regulating violent content on the media will in the long run help reduce crime.
