Tutor: None Selected Time limit: 1 Day

A photoelectric experiment was preformed by separately shining a laser at 450nm (blue light) and a laser at 560nm (yellow light) on a clean metal surface and measuring the # of electrons ejected. Which light would generate more electrons? Which light would eject electrons with more kinetic energy?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Provided both the lights have same intensity, both the light will emit equal no of electron.

The light with shorter wavelength will have more energy thus blue light will emit electron with higher  KE.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
