The sum of three consecutive integers is − 126. What are the integers?

So i did this problem

x+x+1+x+2=-126 

and got...

x=-43 

but it said integers as in multiple answers ho do i find the other values for x?

There is only one set of 3 consecutive numbers that will work for this because we end up with a linear equation that can only have one solution. You solved for x correctly. X will be the smallest of the 3 consecutive integers. Now, you will need to add 1, and 2 to x. So your answers will be x + 1, and x+2, which are -42 and -41 respectively.
