Isn't a stock repurchase the "lazy management" way of utilizing the excess cash?   Isn't there better ways to invest the money in the company to get better returns in the long run for the stockholders?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Stock repurchase has always been rendered "mine - field of the rich", but lately anyone can get into stocks and bonds. So what are the alternatives?

  1. Real estate - This can be done by;
  • Become a landlord - Purchase a house and rent it out.
  • Purchase houses, fix them up then, sell them at a higher price
 2. Invest in a business - Start a side business, put the extra cash to it, and let it grow.
